Vegas, Baby!

I just ate a huge breakfast! lol I was hoping to make a sandwich when I woke up, but there was only one piece of bread left. So instead of making soup or something quick, I just cooked myself a big breakfast-y meal. I had a piece of toast, some maple sausages, an egg, 2 potato patties, and some fried onion. I love onion and had a craving for it. I was actually going to fry some up and then add it to grilled cheese sandwiches, so I ate it over my egg instead. :)

heh This morning was pretty crazy for driving. There is one road on my drive where deer frequent, but it was really foggy and I wouldn't be able to tell if one was on the road in front of me. When I got home, I took Vicki out to pee, then grabbed the camera and snapped a couple pictures from the road behind our house. At this time the fog had already started to dissipate. There are so many times I wish I brought a camera with me everywhere... just for the beautiful things I see and want to share with you. Like the city at night as seen from my office building in downtown Ottawa... one of these days!

Yesterday when I was leaving for work I noticed the car was covered in muck. It was really weird. It looked like a neighbour flung poo all over it. I got to the car after hubby said he already cleaned part of it. I can only imagine how filthy it was before he drove it. It was so gross that I had to go to the gas station on my way to work to clean the windows. It's a good thing I always leave early for work or I would have been late.

Hubby booked our trip to Vegas last night. We'll be staying in a spa suite at the Luxor. He added another day to our itinerary too, so that's awesome! I can't wait!!!!!!

I've not been to the Luxor... the suite with the spa and everything looks fabulous though. I love love LOVE going to vegas... not that I go very often, but just everytime I have gone it's been a great time. I love the shows, the shoping, the food, the hustle and bustle of the strip... so fun! :)

And those are some crazy pics! I can't imagine driving in those conditions. It would be SO crazy for me if I ever moved somewhere where there was snow and weather like that. I'm such the spoiled southern California girl!

I've never been there before. It's exciting 'cause I really don't know what to expect. I've been to big cities in Canada, but I'm having a hard time picturing what Vegas will be like. I can only imagine from what I've seen on TV. lol

The weather can be funny here. My whole route home was foggy like that. But by the time I took the pics, it had already started to lift. hehe I think we don't have much snow, but for Ottawa it's quite a bit. I think this is the most I've seen in my 3 years living here. Back home the amount of snow would be doubled. And it's been hovering around 0C the last few days, so the snow's been getting a chance to melt. I hope Spring comes soon! :D

Let's hope is less like "CSI" and more like "Vegas". No I don't watch too much TV... what have you heard? ;-)

Vegas is one of those cities that never sleeps. You drive down the strip and it's stimulus overload... all the lights and people and extravagant hotels. And then inside the hotels and casinos there is so much you can get lost... malls and tons of shopping and places to eat, rollercoasters and rides, shows, people up 24/7. It's insane, but fun. If this is your first Vegas experience, you'll have tons to see.

See, fog like that is weird for so cal folks... if it's not sunny and clear (well smoggy) everyone forgets how to drive! lol. But I agree... I'm ready for spring. I'm a summer kind of gal myself. It's the hawaiian blood in me! :)
