Update on a couple things

I won't be around much today. There are too many things going on. I have some guy coming over to clean the furnace this afternoon. There are some chores to do around the house. And tonight is Vicki's last week of puppy training. She'll be getting tested, so I want to practice with her some more today.
So far so good on the food inventory. I sent hubby to work with a lunch. We had to go buy bread first, but it's cheaper than eating out. We both had a craving for a dessert last night, so while we were at the grocery store we bought some cream cheese. I was going to make a chocolate cheesecake (the biggest rule for our 3 month challenge is that if it can be made at home, we aren't allowed to buy it at the store), but we didn't get home till late. This challenge shouldn't mean that I will post less recipes. I will still be making nice meals... just a lot of them will be hamburger helper and Kraft Dinner. lol
After grocery shopping we picked up some paint and a couple cute lamps for the family room. Hubby doesn't love them only because they are low, but we decided that if we find something nice later on, we can transfer these guys to our bedroom because we need more lighting in there too. They were only $20 each and I think they are quite decorative.
So we made the first step and picked up the paint for the dining room and living room. I can't believe how much it cost! I think it'll be worth it in the end though. Now I have a project to work on this week. Maybe I'll get started tomorrow. I'm going to paint the dining room first, but I'll need some help moving the China cabinet out of the way.
I gotta get going here. I have to shower and change still. And I want to eat lunch before the guy comes for the furnace. I think I'll also start a cheesecake so we can have dessert after dinner tonight.
Have a good day everyone!

Date: 2006-03-07 07:01 pm (UTC)I really don't know. We put her in puppy school to learn how to train her better, and to improve her behaviour. We might put her in more training later to better improve on her behaviour. We will have to think about it 'cause it is expensive for the classes.

I'm ok. lol
We got a light blue for our living room too. I can't remember the colour, but when it's all painted I will post pics. :)
I can't believe how much it cost. When you add the paint rollers, primer, masking tape, and everything else, it gets expensive!
Vicki passed her test. I will post some pictures later!
Have a great night, sweetie!
