WTF???

My phone rang twice, back to back, and when I answered I got dead silence. After I hung up the second time, my phone no longer gives me a dial tone. WTF happened?? Birthday boy, try to call me at home to test the line if you are reading this. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Update
My husband said that when someone tries to call consecutively it triggers something in the alarm that disables the phone. Apparently this has happened to him before. He reset the phones last night and everything is working again. The alarm company we use is ADT (it came with the house, we wouldn't have bothered installing one). Has anybody else experienced this? It's very weird.

Can you spot the problem?

I bought this ladle a while back, but I don't use it very often. Can you guess why? lol
