In Other News

Here I am, working my shifts again. Only 7 1/2 hours till the end of this shift. And 2 midnight shifts till I am off for 2 weeks. :)) I have no plans for my days off, other than picking up some stuff from Ashton Green... maybe. Not much has been going on since my last entry. You all know that I am a zombie once I start my string of shifts. :S

Well, we did go see Sin City a couple of days ago. It was pretty good. I liked how they used black and white and added colour here and there. White blood on a black suit - Neat!

On my drive to work this morning I saw the gorgeous pink sky bouncing its reflection off the Canal. I wished I had my camera on me. I hope that wasn't a sign for more rain though. ^^; I should really get some pictures, one of these days, of my morning drive to work. I would also like to take a pic of downtown at night.

I like to read up on national news when I get to work. There were some interesting articles this morning. I read this article, and all I can say is "WTF???"

He may have beaten, sexually assaulted and killed his common-law wife but if he did, he was too drunk to remember...

It sure makes the drive in worthwhile. I can't wait till the all the flowers along the canal start to bloom. It's always so picturesque and peaceful at 5:30 am.

LOL I dunno, some people are really aggressive when they drink.... but seriously.. how'd that guy make it home. I mean he probably couldn't even stand up seeing as he can't remember anything.

how do you get off for two weeks? is that vacation time? if not...then you are so lucky!

I am a shift worker so I do crazy 12 hour shifts 4 days in a row, then I get time off. I would have been "on call," but I put in a leave pass and am usng annual leave for it. I am not going anywhere, but this way I won't get called in.

yeah kane wants to do the 12 hour shifts at sitel cause they started to offer it. that way he gets 3 days odd instead of just two.

when my mom worked at foreign affairs she would always be stuck "on call" but was "not home" when they called! keke

LOL Ya, you can't always be standing beside your phone.

My schedule is pretty sweet, aside from being completely useless for the 4 days I am working. We have the best schedule.

I work 2 days, 2 nights, then 6 days off. Of course, we do get called in for training (only optional if you have a leave pass, and they tell you weeks in advance so you have to be there), and sometimes people get sick and you have to cover.

"Sin City" is on my "to rent" list whenever it comes out on DVD. The black and white with splashes of color has always fascinated me. I remember certain music videos from the '80s doing that and being totally taken in by them.
