We watched Ghostbusters last night, and it inspired me to post some pictures.

I was on a course with the military in Kingston, Ontario. We all went out drinking one night, and found ourselves in an empty bar... I think it was Stages. We decided to stay because it was almost like a private club for us, and there were more than enough of us to keep partying. Dan Aykroyd ended up coming into the bar with a bunch of body guards. I got my picute taken with him. I was 20 years old in these pics. Yes, I was smoking a big cigar, and yes, I was hammered )

Another story for you...

My husband bought me a picture for Christmas (I think) and one for himself, and got them framed & matted. This was back in the "too poor for bus fare" days, so we had to walk to the big mall and back. Our pictures were done so we went to pick them up. Instead of just carrying a huge box home, we wrote on it with marker to make it fun. ;)

Honk if you love... )

Sorry for the picture quality. Our scanner is a bit old now.
Everyone must be out enjoying their weekend. I hope you're all having a great weekend! It's just another day off for me. hehe I get the days confused all the time. It comes with the territory (shift work).

We got a few groceries so I can do my pickles tomorrow. We'll probably go to Farm Boy to get some green beans because the ones at Loeb were very poor quality. I didn't want to take the time to cut off all the rotting spots... and that's just ewwwww. So, if I feel motivated enough, I hope to accomplish the following pickles:
- green beans
- baby corn (found some in the frozen foods, woohoo!)
- pearl onions (white and yellow)
- cauliflower
- english cucumbers (my husband wants large crinkle sliced dills so I grabbed English ones because the seeds are tiny--- this will be an experiment)

I wasn't sure what you meant by pickled tomatoes, Velvet & Satinwalkingbytch. I guessed that you meant pickled green tomatoes, but I am unable to find those. I also couldn't find any good quality zucchinis, but I figure I'll have enough of everything else. I'm not sure how I want to do those onions. I got 2 bags of each, so I can either do 2 jars of each, or 4 mixed jars, or 2 jars mixed and 1 jar of each kind. What do you think? I'm sure they'll all taste the same once they're pickled. :)

My husband bought a Sega Dreamcast from eBay so he's been playing with his toy in between studying. Some of those games are pretty fun.

We were out late so we decided to pick up something for dinner. I've been curious about this little noodle restaurant that we pass often. I might go back to try Bubble Tea because I've never had it and am curious, but I will not go back to order the food. It was really disgusting. My chicken was full of bones, cartiladge, and fat. Every piece I took I'd bite down on something hard. It totally put me off my meal and I ended up throwing the last 1/4 of it away. I couldn't believe that they didn't take the time to trim the chicken. The veggies were all raw, which is cool and all, but it was all rather bland. I ordered chicken vermicceli, and my husband ordered shrimp & chicken noodle soup. I didn't try his soup, but I don't know if I'd care for it with all those raw bland veggies.

Oh, I want to make apple crisp soon. I looked at McIntoshes in Loeb and couldn't believe they're selling them for $1/lb. Normally they are half that cost. It is apple season afterall! Hopefully we find some for cheap at Farm Boy tomorrow.

Vicki only got 2 votes today. *sigh* :(

Time to carve the pumpkins, and drink tea while watching TV. Good night & hope you have a good Sunday. :D
