I am pretty excited about it. When I tell everyone about this Matchstick promotion I try to emphasize that this is not a scam or dishonest in any way. They are legitimate. The only thing you have to do is enjoy your free Zune and show it off to friends! They are doing a "word of mouth" marketing strategy.

I think that's awesome that you got it free. How often does that happen?

I own a zune, they're amazing :) minus their one or two faults, I wouldn't trade mine for an ipod, anyday :)

really?! there's no catch or anything??

These kind of deals go quick and this post is over a year old! But yes, there was no catch. Matchstick is a Canadian word of mouth of company. If you can find out what and where they are offering these deals, all you have to do is enter and wait for them to call you. They look for a certain demographic to test new products, and the only "catch" is that you talk about the products to everyone (that's the word of mouth part) and then report back to Matchstick on how those conversations went. You don't have to give up their details (phone number, address, email, etc) either.

If this appeals to you, you should join BzzAgent. It's the same thing but through a different internet site and is open to the US, Canada, and the UK. You get invited to join different campaigns. (A campaign could be anything! Right now, I'm in one for Danone. I get to try a their DanActive drinks for free.) The more you participate (by answering short surveys, giving your opinion on websites and different companies) the more campaigns you get invited to. There is NO catch. I am super picky about things like this because I hate being hassled through email or home phone, heck even junk letter mail is really annoying. Matchstick and BzzAgent are top companies in my opinion.
