Heart-o-rific!

Here are some pictures from yesterday as promised.

Yesterday I saw a post that inspired me to give the cats a can of tuna. I've ony ever given them the drained water from the can, so I thought I'd spoil them this time. Binka never really cared for the water, and it turns out she doesn't like the fish either. Munchie, the same cat who almost jumped into the bowl on the counter when I was mixing tuna salad for sandwiches once, doesn't like the fish either. But boy, does he love that water! hehe When the juice was gone he left the fish at the bottom of the dish.

Here is our Valentines dinner... grilled filet mignon stuffed with mascarpone and fresh basil, and wrapped in proscuitto, and the rice is caramelized onion and cheddar cheese (I chopped the scraps bits of the red peppers from the salad and cooked it with the rice).

The salad was really simple and I mixed them right in the salad bowls... red pepper hearts and kisses, spinach, leaf lettuce, sliced baby carrots, green onion, a few pine nuts, feta cheese, and drizzled with a garlic vinagerette.

These are the heart shaped brownies I made as part of our dessert. Our dessert plates had a brownie, a heart shaped lava cake, and some vanilla ice cream. The brownies were really cute, but the lava cakes burst comming out of the pan. The cakes still tasted really good, but weren't pretty enough to take a picture of.

After puppy training, we came home to find these lovebirds in the dog's bed.
