On the way home from work I went to the McDonald's drive-thru to pick up supper.

minxy_baby *pulls up to the speaker and rolls down window to hear*
McDonalds employee: Just a second please.
minxy_baby: *freezes in car with window down*
*1 minute later*
McDonalds employee: Hi, may I take your order?
minxy_baby: I'll get the crispy McChicken meal.
McDonalds employee: With a coke?
minxy_baby: No, diet coke, please.
McDonalds employee: Is that for here or to go?
minxy_baby: Say whaaaaa?
minxy_baby: Hello?
*another minute later*
minxy_baby: Ummmmm?
minxy_baby *still freezing*
minxy_baby: Can you tell me how much I owe, please?
McDonalds employee: That's $6.92 at the second window.

Hey, well at least she got my order right!


Hubby showed this story that he got off one of his most frequented sites, BoingBoing. The guy made an updated post. I understand why he didn't post the names or phone number, but man, if I knew that this family lived in my city, I'd call them daily and probably pay them a visit. *scowl* I hope he gets his camera back.

Ours is even worse. without going in to details ,U complained to McD's about ours, and never got a response. I got mad last year finally and signed my name as "Reverend" and stating that I'm inform everyone in my congregation not to use this particular McD ever again. I got a reply and like 50 bucks in food vouchers in a week.

Ugh I know! I didn't understand why they started out doing the right thing, but then changed their minds like that. This is not a good example for their kid at all.

Oh man, that is awful you had to have your window down. I hate going through the drivethru. I rarely do, wastes gas.

It didn't waste much gas as I was the only one there. That McDonalds is always empty, I think because of its location. Yeah, it was annoying that she was clueless and made me sit there waiting. If I could hear the speaker through my window I would have rolled it up.

Usually, people who work the drive thru are total idiots. They don't know what is going on half the time & are doing too mayn things at once.

lol That's it! I couldn't believe she asked me that. The place was dead so it's not like she was trying to do too much at once. I think that's why she left me hanging for another minute - she was embarrassed about what she had said on the mic so she went silent. I was going to tease her about it when I got up to the window, but it was too cold to sit there with my window down any longer than it had to be.

haha Yeah, maybe she was just overworked. I was surprised that she got my order right.
