I had a weird dream last night. Before I woke up to go to the bathroom, I told myself in my dream that these numbers mean something and that I shouldn't forget them. Still half-asleep, I repeated the numbers in my head and then went back to bed. It was weird. I don't remember anything else about the dream. Who knows if it means something.
My husband made dinner for the last 2 days. How sweet is that? Yesterday's dinner was an Asian style of chicken thighs (tasted like Terriyaki) and Pad Thai noodles. I was very impressed with his chicken. Tonight he made a casserole (no recipe!) with sweet potatoes, hamburger, tomatoes, cream cheese, onion, proscuitto, and provolone. Damn that was tasty! Also very impressive since it was just an idea he had in his head. I took it for my night meal and ate it here at work.
My system was messed up today. I woke up at 10:00am, and worked out at 11:00. Normally I stay up late the night before, then sleep-in till about 2:00pm. I am getting really tired now. Driving home after shifts like this is always fun.
I did some coffee research a while back. A single cup of coffee from the canteen at work costs $0.75. I guess enough people complained because they used to charge a loony. If you want to be part of the coffee fund, they'll sell you a box of coffee and charge an extra $5. The coffee they now use is one of those single cup dispensers... they don't even fill a mug all the way. They used to get a couple flavours in, but now they only sell columbian and another super strong kind (yes, even too strong for me, the lover of strong coffee). I thought I would get around their ridiculous price and just buy my own "K-cups" online and bring a couple for myself each shift. It turns out that I would have to pay more per cup if I bring in my own. That shit is expensive! I can't believe it. It seems to be the new coffee maker fad. I don't get it. I can make a pot of coffee for literally pennies a mug. When a cup of coffee out of home costs more than a quarter, someone else better be making it.

Speaking of mugs, most of the mugs in the kitchenette down there are gone. I guess people threw them out 'cause they were tired of looking at dirty dishes. The mugs that did survive were put away dirty. I mean they were really disgusting. There was no attempt made to even make them look a little bit clean. Gross! The sink is full of dirty dishes too. Ugh.
Eeep!
southernbliss deleted her journal. I hope she comes back and tells us her new name or shows up under my "friend of" list.
I am the first to add my elementary school! Yay, I'm so cool! haha LJ started to clean up the provinces, but they are not done yet. For Ontario alone they had 4 different names: ON (the proper acronym), On (close, but not quite), Ont (the old way, no longer correct), and Ontario (Ummm). They really need to make just one for every province. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that our provinces are duplicated... or does LJ need to hire some Canadians? ;)

Date: 2005-09-29 08:28 am (UTC)The K cups are huge at my water company. Expensive indeed. Thankfully, I can get a box for $4.25 with the employee disc. Do you want some for you at the office?
Yes, a Canadian on staff would be very helpful. I'll motion that they look at you. :P~

Date: 2005-09-29 08:56 am (UTC)My office got me hooked on the Hazelnut flavour, then we had a handover and the new guy only buys the 2 kinds. They must be getting a discount if they are selling them for $0.75 and still making a profit. I calculated that it would cost roughly $0.85 to buy them myself. I would love to find a cheaper means of getting these cups. I love the idea. I could bring in one or two for myself and I wouldn't have to worry about a mess or anything.
Sometimes I bring in tea, but not too often do I make a cup. I drink my tea with milk and there is usually just cream... when they don't let that run out. lol
hehe :)
